Just a Thought!

This is one of those days when without actually doing anything you feel tired...I am emotionally bogged down today. The pain, confusion and the frustration around me was weighing me down. Whoever I  met today, whomever I care to say HI had a sad story to share and all are more or less my age. I have been meeting lot of older people lately as this is the time where most parents visit their kids in US. One common factor that I see in almost all the older folks I met is they are more assertive, more confident and more happy with themselves than us younger lot. I feel they are more realistic with their lives than we are. The friends they had/have, the relations they maintained are more real than virtual. Not like most of us who are friends with the people they never saw in their whole life, falling in love with the people they seldom met, crying over a heart ache of rejection from a person whose face you haven't seen except in pictures! This leaves me wondering if social networking is helping us or hurting us!
